Visual artists in all mediums including, but not limited to, acrylic, oil, watercolor, photography, metal, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and glass are eligible. There are two way artists can participate in the event. Artists have the option of applying to be a Featured Artist or being included in the pop up gallery, where artists can display their art and sell it for a small commission.

Pop Up Gallery Artist
Artists can apply to contribute art pieces to the Pop Up Gallery on Saturday, May 13th from 12-5pm.
Commission of 20% will be charged for art sold.
Artists will be chosen to be featured in downtown Tigard businesses. Artists will be paired with a local business who will feature pieces of art the two weeks prior to the Tigard Art Walk. These art pieces will be included in a juried contest with a cash prize. Featured artists will be hosted on Friday evening, May 12th from 5:00-7:00PM by their local business in a Meet the Artists event.
On Saturday, artists will be given an area in front or near their local business. There they will create an art piece live during Artists in Action. Artists are welcome to sell their art during this time as well. Artists must provide their own tent and any additional display materials and volunteers for their area. Featured artists may also participate in the pop up gallery. There is a $25 non-refundable fee to apply to be a featured artist.
Downtown Tigard’s Annual Art Walk invites artists and residents to meet on Main Street and explore the creative side of Tigard. A key component of this special event is the participation of artists who want to bring their talent out of the studio and gallery and on to the street.
Art can be an important component in revitalizing a downtown area. The purpose of the Downtown Tigard Art Walk is to bring together community and commerce and raise awareness of and celebrate local artists. Proceeds from the Tigard Art Walk are used to support the event, by covering the juried contest prize money, publicity, and additional event costs.
Featured artists will display up to two art pieces in a downtown Tigard business from April 30th through May 13th. Meet the Artists, Friday, May 12th from 5:00-7:00PM. The Pop Up Gallery runs Saturday, May 13th from 10:00-6:00PM.
